After another year of growth for Azon Recruitment Group in Ireland, we’re kicking off 2020 with even more positive news as we expand our operation to Luxembourg.

This new division of Azon Recruitment Group will be focused on Financial Services recruitment in Luxembourg. Our team brings with it a wealth of industry and recruitment experience in the sector.

Azon International will be led by Managing Partner Nabil McNaughton. Nabil has been central to building the Azon Recruitment Group business in Dublin, Limerick & London, alongside founder Ronan Colleran. As a former Fund Accountant Nabil brings direct experience, having worked with JP Morgan and State Street coupled with over 15 years in recruitment.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to continue our successful partnership with some of the leading fund services, asset management and corporate services firms in another key market. To date we have a proven track record in placing high-calibre funds professionals across multiple jurisdictions, including Ireland, the UK, Hong Kong and Australia at multiple levels from mid manager to C Suite. Areas of specialism include Operations, Finance & Accounting, Front office, Compliance/Risk and Sales/Product.” he said.

“This dedicated and focused specialisation for our candidate and client community has enabled us to build a truly global funds talent and careers network. Now, due to the natural market synergies with Luxembourg, developments in the funds industry and the encouragement of our clients, we are expanding our presence and excited to enter the Luxembourg market.”.

As part of this exciting growth, there is the appointment of Ian Palmer as Partner for Azon’s International Recruitment arm. Another former Fund Accountant, Ian started his recruitment career in 2006, and since then has specialised in recruiting roles in the Funds Management and Fund Services industry. “Ian is a fantastic addition to the Azon business. His track record, network and expertise across the global Funds industry will be of significant benefit to our candidates and clients” commented Nabil McNaughton.

“We are a trusted advisor to many of the marquee brands in the Asset Services, Funds Management and Governance market in Ireland. The breadth and strength of our network enables us to give our candidates access to the senior hiring community at leading global banks, Asset Managers and Asset Servicing firms in the Luxembourg market” said Ian Palmer.

“We have an intimate understanding of industry trends and skill-sets that are in demand, enabling us to guide our candidates through their career and find them roles that not only fit with their experience, but with organisations that are the right cultural fit for their personality.”
The decision to enter the Luxembourg market has been driven by many conversations with clients who are facing similar challenges in a market that shares many characteristics with Ireland. By mirroring clients presence in Luxembourg, Azon will be able to offer the same world class consultative recruitment as they do in Ireland.

Ciara Heslin, Group Head of Human Resources at Carne Group “Azon have played a key part in supporting Carne with our recruitment needs over the past number of years as our business has grown globally. We are delighted with Azon’s expansion of their recruitment operations to Luxembourg and with their support in helping us to further grow our business in the Lux market by attracting top quality talent.”
